Type Raring A320

Our EASA Part 147 approved course is designed for aircraft maintenance engineers to meet the standard of knowledge required to perform the duties of a B1/B2 certified engineer and to apply for appropriate company approvals for Airbus A320.

Holders of the relevant Part 66 B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licences are usually the basic admission standard for Type Training. As a result, candidates must have technical experience in an aircraft maintenance setting as well as a working knowledge of English.

The A320 Type Rating course includes two engines (CFM 56-B and V2500) valid for both B1 & B2 Maintenance License Engineers.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

Show detailed knowledge of the aircraft systems, major components, their operations as well as the appropriate maintenance and troubleshooting methods.
Provide working knowledge of the extensive maintenance manuals and technical documentation.
Understanding the common maintenance practices and procedures prescribed in the AMM.
Possessing the knowledge to perform system monitoring and operational tests in accordance with the aircraft’s technical documentation.
Clarify the common errors caused during maintenance events and how to avoid them.

Training levels

Maintenance technicians who want to add a Type Rating course to their maintenance license must first pass a Level 3 type course, which proves their understanding of the aircraft and its systems. A normal course has a three-year expiration date from the time it begins.

Brief overview of the airframe, systems and powerplant. Introduction to the aircraft maintenance manual and instructions for continuing airworthiness.

02.

Overview of controls, indicators and main components, their location and function, maintenance and secondary fault diagnosis. General knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject.

03.

Detailed description, operation, location of components, removal and installation and troubleshooting procedures at the maintenance manual level.

COURSE SCOPE

THEORETICAL TRAINING

The theoretical part of the course is delivered by experienced maintenance engineers in a “virtual class” environment from the comfort of your house in English using modern delivery techniques. Every individual receives their own copy of the material in digital form. As a minimum the elements in the Syllabus that are specific to the aircraft type must be covered. Additional elements introduced due to technological changes shall also be included.

DURATION: 35 Days

EXAMINATION

Throughout the theoretical course, there will be periodic examinations. Multi-choice questions will be used, with a non-penalty marking system. For each examination, a minimum score of 75% is necessary. Each student who has satisfactorily finished the course and passed all of the examinations/assessments will get a certificate of recognition at the end of the course.

VIRTUAL PRACTICAL TRAINING

This part focuses on the understanding of specific aircraft types according to the specifications established in the relevant documentation for certifying staff as it covers all system variations across the aircraft type series.

LOCATION: Online CBT (Computer Based Training)

DURATION:  6 Days

ASSESSMENT

Participants must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the specified systems, as well as their operation and maintenance through a knowledge assessment, in order to complete the logbook entries for intended license type.

PRACTICAL TRAINING

Trainees will get practical knowledge hands-on for the line and base maintenance activities upon their training assessment from the same ATA chapters, as has been explained during the theoretical training.

LOCATION: Turkey, Dubai or Egypt approved EASA-145. The availability and visa status of students is dependent upon the applicant’s location. 

DURATION:  6 Days

ASSESSMENT

Practical assessment certificate at the end of the successful completion of the course trainee will get EASA Part 147 Training Certificate for the line and base maintenance activities upon their course qualification required.
